GSNI has produced and contributed to a range of education resources for schools to support geoscience within the Northern Ireland curriculum at all levels.
Key Stage 2
Earth science lessons
CCEA-endorsed lessons provide information and ideas to bring earth science to the classroom in practical and relevant ways for pupils in Key Stage 2.
GeoEnergyNI
Discover the heat beneath your feetis a teaching pack aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils and fits in with the 'Movement and energy' and 'Earth and universe' elements of the World Around Us CCEA Primary Curriculum. The contents can also be adapted for Key Stage 3 geography and science.
Education pack for primary schools
The Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark education pack has six practical experiments that have all been designed to demonstrate the rocks and landscapes of the geopark.

The climate change through time poster and online map illustrate the links between our planet's changing climate and the different rocks that formed as environmental conditions varied through geological time.
Virtual field trips
Explore three virtual educational tours in the Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark, featuring Ballyhornan and Killard Point, Cranfield and Camlough Quarry and Lake.
Key stage 4
The self-led study guide to the Geodiversity of Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark has information on geopark sites to visit along with teacher notes and student worksheets for each location.
General education
Museums and exhibitions
GSNI works with museums and discovery centres to develop geoscience-themed education resources for a range of curriculum levels. These include W5 Science and Discovery Centre and the Ulster Museum.
